Drop seal to the door
A drop seal is a special type of gasket installed in the bottom edge of the door that automatically drops when the door is closed, creating a tight connection with the floor. This mechanism is used in interior doors, and its main purpose is to provide better sound insulation, thermal insulation and prevent dust and drafts from getting under the door.
When the door is open, the seal remains tucked inside the bottom of the door, so it doesn't interfere with closing and opening. When the door is closed, a spring or pneumatic mechanism causes the seal to drop and make gentle contact with the floor, creating a seal. This minimizes the penetration of noise, heat, cold or other pollutants.
